DIFFENDERFER, Bertha "Connie"

Mrs. Bertha “Connie” Diffenderfer, 66, Hometown, Illinois, died at 10 p.m. Tuesday, October 4, at Christ Hospital in Oaklawn, Illinois.
She was born February 19, 1917 in Franklin County, Tennessee, the daughter of John and Dosia Lennon Goan. On July 5, 1941, she married Robert S. Diffenderfer of Covington, who survives.
A former resident of Chicago, she had resided at Hometown since 1952. She was a member of Jordan Baptist Church in Burbank, Illinois.
Other survivors include two sons, Robert, at home and Kent of Chicago Ridge, Illinois; two brothers, Frank Goan of Florida and Charles Goan of Knoxville, Tennessee; and five grandchildren.
Services were conducted Friday at Bodine and Shelby Funeral Home in Covington with burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery at Covington. -s-
